    This is one of my favorite Japanese war medals that can be obtained at a reasonable price due to the quality purple and green enamel work. You're bidding on an original Japanese Order of the Rising Sun 7 medal with it lapel rosette. Please take care in examining the photos for the condition of this medal and its box as they're the exact ones you're bidding on.
    This medal was established on April 10, 1875 and was the first national decoration awarded by the Japanese government. It was given to both civilians and the military, and the Order of Rising Sun 7 could be given to both officers and enlisted military members.
